Last Friday my mum, brother and I went down the line to Waimana. Waimana is a small place out of Whakatane, where my Koro lives, population around 700. We left about lunch time after packing our stuff and putting it in the car, for my Aunty's birthday. As we got on the motorway I spotted this car to the right speeding in the middle lane. My brother and I fell asleep for a couple of hours, eventually we woke up before we were finally there. “Wow", I said, "that took long as”!!!
Unpacking our stuff into the spare room, we fell asleep after a long sleepy drive. Waking up in the morning ,I yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my aunty Te Rangiataahua. We cleaned up our beds and packed for a day at Rotorua pools, because that is her favourite place to swim. We arrived at the stinky smelly place (ROTORUA). As I walked into the changing room, I nearly slipped over on the slippery slimy floor. I walked to the pool and dived in making a humongous splash. Then I jumped out because it was freezing cold. I decided the spa will be a better choice. As I slipped in the spa, there was a sign that said this pool requires a coloured band, I said to myself "lucky my mum brought one". We spent a couple more hours at the pool then we had lunch and went back home to Waimana.

Olympics
The 2012 London olympic sport i’m about to write about is Judo, but first of all i’m going to tell you about and what our writing assignment is. Our assignment is to write about a summer olympic sport that you don't know about, as you can see I have choosed Judo.
Did you know that the meaning of judo is gentle way and is a martial art. The main focus is to take down or throw to the grown by grappling maneuver and make an opponent to submit by strangle, hold or choke. Even now they still do this type of blood sport.
This paragraph i’m going to talk about Judo’s culture. The famous culture that's behind judo is Japanese but has similar techniques, which was found in chinese martial arts. So of course the culture is chinese.

My Hobby
My hobby is farming, riding horses and motorbikes. I love these because every holidays I go to an amazing farm and learn how to do these favourite interests of mine.
The first hobby I'm going to write about is farming. First of all the owners of the farms are Uncle Chris (dairy milker) and Uncle Gene, who leases the Mamakumaru farm which is looked after by the Tainui trust. My favourite farm is my Uncle Chris’s because my cousins and I always milk the cows, but unfortunately, I don't go there much. My Uncle Gene’s farm is cool but I prefer Uncle Chris’s.
Riding motorbikes is really cool because you can go EXTREMELY fast on them. Both farms have two motorbikes each. My favourite bike is the shiny red honda crf 230 f, because it has a smooth clutch and it is fast. My second favourite is the lightening blue suzuki xt250.
My mum gets so angry at me because I keep on saying, " I so can't wait until the next holidays!!!"
Know you no what I get up to in the holidays.

Hollidays
This holiday I went to Tauwhare marae for a maori holiday programme, which my aunties and uncles ran. If you dont no were Tauwhare it's a place just out of Hamilton? I went because I've always wanted to meet all my couzins. The funny thing about maori holiday programmes is that its unorganized.
There were so many activities that we participated in like haka, sports, flax, bread making, farm, caving and many more. All of these activities were so cool. My favourite activity was the farm and haka.
Learning a new haka is always challenging for me but awesome. The haka we learnt was Ki oki oki ehe. It was a really cool haka. My favourite bit of haka is the actions because they look really cool.
One of our best activities out of everything was going to the farm. When we got there we had a karakia/ prayer. Then we split everyone into groups. Our first rotation was killing the pig, for the hangi. First we had to move the pigs into the small paddock. Then my grandfather shot it with a 22. Then he stuck it with a knife aka bleeding it. After the blood went out we carried it up in the old rusty wool shed. We hung it up with a hook and singed the hair. Our day was finished and we went back to the Marrae.

Cant wait for the HOLIDAYS
This is our last week
This week is the last week of term 2, do you know what that means...... HOLIDAYS, I so can’t wait till Friday. I’m trying my hardest to finish all my work so I don't have to catch up next term. This seems like a smart thing to do, don’t you think?
What I’m going to do on the holidays
These holidays I'm going to my uncle's farm in Te Awamutu. Aka, TA. I always go there because I LOVE it, and when I grow up I'm going to own one. I can't wait to go this Saturday, and hit the road.
When I get there I will probably spend a couple of days on the farm, Then , Jean , the farm owner and my nana , Koinaki , my uncle, and My other nana, the border and I, are going hunting. When I go i'm going to prepare and suit up with all my gear so I can get that pig like nothing.

NIKE FREE RUN
These awesome shoes are called Nike free run's and I reckon, they are really cool!!! I want to see how they make these because it would be very interesting to me. "One of my wishes would to be the top boss of the Nike company".
My favourite part of this shoe is the beautiful colours that blend together like a peace of piccaso's art , except there not crooked. If I ran the colour would look like fast lightning leaving burn marks. Since I have these but a different colour I no how light they are. They are called free runs because there very light and they do there job.
If I brought these flash shoes I would probably look after them like its gold, witch would be very precious to me. I would scrub, rinse and polish them so they look spick and span.

My Favourite Picture
This week we have been assigned to take a picture of our favourite place, and write about it. Everyone gets a turn of taking their photos, around the school or outside of the school. I took my picture outside of school.
One of the reasons why I took this picture of a horse is because it is at one of my favourite places, my uncles farm. Horses are one of my favourite things to ride as well as patting them, brushing and many more.
I like this picture because the horse called JAKE looked frustrated and funny. Another reason why I like it is because his ears were pointing up like an arrow, but also the background suits the horse. My favourite part is the angle I took it.
